Etsy: Pink Oriental Greetings Card (£4.00)
This card was the first to be available to buy on my Etsy shop. It has a strong oriental feel and includes my art work on the front. Like all my other cards, you will not find a something like this on the high street.

Funfair, Teacups and Wilfred
These cards all have my own photography on the front. I have been developing these cards, using a range of photographs I have taken this year.
I have learnt linking colours within the photograph and the colour of the card materials is very important. By following this rule, the effect is much more professional and eye-catching.

Anniversary cards
These two cards were made to order for my Mum and Dad’s wedding anniversary. They didn’t have any particular design ideas, so I came up with my own.
On both, I used my photography work, incorporating the theme of love. I gave my Mum the one of the red rose, because it was more feminine and the blue hearts to my Dad.
I used unusual templates, for the rose card, the image flipped up revealing a romantic message. For my Dads blue card, I personalised it, using my parents names in the middle of the heart images.

Travel around the world card
This was a made to order card which someone had requested for me to make. The theme was travelling because her friend was taking a year out to go to different parts of the world.
The brief was very specific, I was asked to recreate a card template she has seen on my Flickr page, using four images arranged like postcards on the front.
In addition each of the four postcard type images had to represent a different part of the world that her friend was visiting, for example Asia, Africa, America and New Zealand.
The images I used are from Google Images. I enjoy making cards, which are made to order as I very often pick up new ideas from the client.

I have begun to use my photography on cards much more just recently. I think this is an idea I really want to explore and I hope that I will be successful in selling them by word of mouth and on Etsy.
After receiving feedback from a relative, I decided using softer colours might make my cards more saleable. On many of the designs with my images on, I have picked out colours from the photo and made them match the rest of the design.

Zig zag cards
The zig zag template can be made from one sheet on A4 card. It’s a unique idea and great if you want to make a cute design quite quickly.
Here is a selection of zig zag cards which I have been working on. I have used a mixture of recycled cards and male patterned papers.

As you may have noticed I haven’t blogged my cards for ages. However I’ve been working hard on my card designs and just recently have set up a business on Etsy. Even though not all my cards will be sold on Etsy, it has given me the motivation to try out new designs.
The first card on this post is a new template which I found out about at a craft group I go to on a Wednesday. The other card design is a classic gatefold template. These two cards I used male patterned papers which I got on my birthday as a gift.
