I was really pleased with how this set came out. The ones of her in her pram reminded me of those beautiful little dolls you can get. The baby girl did really well in the shoot, she was very photogenic too.

There were some lovely shots that came out of the couple and the baby.  I’ve included some in monochrome and some in colour, each giving a slightly different effect. My favourite of this bunch was of the couple looking together at the baby.

The children were a delight to work with – very photogenic and smiley. One of my favourite shots from the day was of all the children together, I particularly like it in monochrome.

I completed a shoot last month with a wonderful family. There was a new edition to the family, a beautiful baby girl. I had lots of fun on the shoot; everyone was really lovely to work with.

Durham – People & manikins

Portraits seemed to be the photography focal point from the day and I was quite chuffed with some of the shots I produced. Some of the friends I met up with in Durham had kids with them, and they were happy to let me take a few snaps.

While we were walking across the main bridge, in the centre, we saw a musician playing music. I took a few of arty shots of him. I developed an idea of using two people facing different directions. This worked well in monochrome too. It was one of my favourite shots from the day.

I developed a theme on manikins, there were so many in shop windows and also some really interesting ones. I particularly liked the male manikins, they had character and I developed ideas for this through my photography.

Bentley the Bulldog

Since 2010 when I last photographed Bentley I have been working on pet portraiture and developing it as a idea for a business.

Bentley is one of my favourite subjects to photograph because he has such as charismatic face.

I decided to have another shoot with Bentley a couple of weeks ago. He was lots of fun to work with, and a little calmer than he was back in 2010.
